About Divine Rootz

Lisha, the owner of Divine Rootz, started with her passion for the beauty industry at a very young age. By the age of 9, she was already displaying her skills, executing retouches to her mother’s relaxers and by 15 she was doing the hair of her friends, including styles such as a sew-in. After graduating high school, Lisha knew that she wanted to do hair professionally and that she wanted to cater to all hair types, while specializing in locs. While it took a few years for her to start cosmetology school, due to several life events, she remained determined to go after her dreams. In 2018, Lisha enrolled in cosmetology school, where she excelled and completed her courses early and received her license. Once she obtained her license to work in the cosmetology field, she worked at two salons for a short period of time, however, she quickly learned that she wanted to do beauty in a different way and offer her clients a unique experience. While working in the other salons, she was pushed and motivated to give life to Divine Rootz. Divine Rootz was birthed out of passion for beauty, self love, and care, out of eagerness to help men, women, and children look and feel their best.
